We chose to stay in St Jean des Piles at the entrance of La Mauricie national park, and of the lodging options, we are very pleased to have spent three nights with Pierre and Nadine at Maison Cadorette. We stayed on the ground floor in the Moïse room, great shower with strong water flow and hot water. Sink separate and in the room, useful for a couple. Bed and linens very comfortable. Plenty of natural light and also, importantly in summer, blackout shades. As for the welcome, the hosts were delightful - breakfast was a nice spread with fruit, pastry, and other more substantial options. I liked the chia pudding personally. For our two one-day forays into La Mauricie, we bought sandwiches from the bakery and were able to fuel our hikes (Mekinac on day one, Wapizagonke to Waber falls via canoe & hike on day two) with them. Highly recommended as a base for forays into the park!
Very nice and welcoming hosts. Nadine and Pierre. Always checking guests are well. They offered a nice St. Jean concert. Their hospitality makes the stay a great experience.
My travel plans changed and Nadine and Pierre were accommodating and quick to solve my issue. I would recommend them as helpful and understanding hosts. I hope to stay with them on my next trip to Canada.
I had a great stay at Maison Cadorette. The rooms are very comfortable and the whole space is well decorated and cozy. The included breakfast was delicious. On top of it, the parc de la Mauricie is just a few minutes away! Thank you!
We had an amazing time at Maison Cadorette. Very close to Parc national de la Mauricie. (We chose Saint Jean des Piles as we were aiming for the lake Pimbina trail), totally worth it. Clean room, comfortable, quiet, recently renovated and nicely decorated, same goes for the common areas. The hosts Pierre and Nadine were nice and welcoming, delicious homemade breakfast and very good coffee. Each room is named and the dining area is divided in corresponding private sections to keep covid at bay, great job! Definitely recommend it and will visit again.
A proximité du parc de la Mauricie, la maison Cadorette nous a réservé un accueil chaleureux. La chambre conforme a la description était spacieuse et propre. Le petit déjeuner était copieux avec des produits frais. En fin d'après midi, après une journée de randonnée, enroulés dans nos couvertures , nous avons pu nous détendre autour d'un bon feu dehors, une ambiance magique. Ne pas hésiter .
Very delicious food, great breakfasts, Could communicate with the waiters very Good even if they could just a bit english. All in all it was very good.
Great place to stay outside of La Mauricie Park! Thank you for the accommodation guys! Would definitely recommend and come back if I ever visit Quebec again
